"I do!" is a youth initiative that is part of the project Alliance of Multicultural Agencies Against Forced Marriages - AMFM Canada at Agincourt Community Services Association. "I do!" seeks to create awareness about forced marriage and related gender violence issues among young women through art workshops. There will be three workshops in total, the first being a graphic arts and poster-making workshop (that took place in April and May), and the other two, being spoken word workshops, will be held in the summer and fall. Each workshop series runs for eight two-hour sessions.

The summer workshop will take place in July and August and will teach young women the techniques of writing and performing their own spoken word pieces based on the topic of forced marriage. The last session of the workshop will involve them performing their end final pieces. The workshops will also be filmed in order to make a documentary showing young women speaking up about forced marriages. While being part of the documentary is optional, we encourage participants to take part in it because the documentary is a major goal of this program. On the first day of the workshop, you will be asked to fill out a consent form about whether or not you are okay with being filmed.
